What is Nodeschool?
Node.js is a Javascript framework for easily building fast, scalable network applications. Nodeschool is software tools and educational content that help people learn Node.js and general Javascript skills.
This workshop is for beginning programmers as well as people with Javascript experience. Attendees at Nodeschool will learn Node.js and Javascript skills during a full day workshop.
In the morning session, we will cover Javascript basics needed to get started effectively with Node.js. After a lunch break, more advanced Node.js concepts will be introduced. Each topic will be presented and explained, then there will be an opportunity to practice writing code while working through programming exercises while trainers provide assistance as needed.
We will provide follow-up support for people as they work through the exercises at home, extending the workshop into individual study through our local Nodeschool chapter's help forum.
When and Where?
Join us on May 23rd, 2015 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center in Holyoke to coincide with International Nodeschool Day. Nodeschool chapters all over the world will be putting on educational events.
