Belchertown Scratch Day

Primary tabs

Jul 12 2014 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm

MIT's Scratch is a sharing and collaboration tool for learning programming language for everyone.

NERDs educators and developers Joe Bacal, Andrew Pasquale, and Kelly Albrecht will be hosting a Scratch event at the Clapp Memorial Library in Belchertown, Massachusetts. The time will be both structured and open-ended.  Following a brief introduction, people who want to just get started and explore Scratch on their own will be free to do so, and facilitators will be on hand to answer questions. For those interested in a more structured instruction, there will be both coaching and on-paper tutorials and challenges. At the end of the event, there will be a chance to share projects. To plan for the available space and time, please register here with your email address. The event is ideal for people aged 7 to 127, and kids under 12 should come with a grown-up.  We will provide a snack.  Participants who are able should bring their own laptop.

This is a free event. Register below. If no spaces are left, you will be registered to the wait list.
